Melissa is an endorsed sport and exercise psychologist who takes a holistic, humanistic, and strength-based approach to her work. She brings a warm, down-to-earth style, creating a space where people feel safe to explore challenges and make sense of their experiences.


Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration, guided by a non-pathologising, values-based philosophy. Melissa works with the whole person, recognising how the nervous system, mind, body, and relationships interact to shape our experience of ourselves, others, and the world. She works alongside clients to deepen self-understanding, build practical skills, and move towards greater alignment with who they want to be and how they want to live.

In addition to working with individuals, Melissa works with couples, supporting them to develop the skills and understanding needed to nurture a healthy relationship. Drawing on the Gottman Method, she helps partners build a strong foundation of friendship, improve communication, and navigate conflict in ways that deepen connection and build trust.

Her work integrates evidence-based approaches, including polyvagal-informed and somatic practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and the Gottman Method, with Level 2 training. These are applied flexibly, depending on the needs and preferences of the person or couple.
