Mr W. Antony-John Jia is a registered psychologist with a deep interest in psychodynamic-interpersonal therapy and pastoral psychotherapy. With a focus on individual therapy, Mr Jia is also preparing to offer Yalom-style group therapy in the future. In the initial session, Mr Jia assesses compatibility with the client, welcoming individuals of all ages, genders, and clinical presentations.
 
Throughout his career, Mr Jia has worked with a diverse range of clients, from young children adjusting to their parents' divorce to seniors coping with grief and loss. His experience spans helping adolescents navigate societal pressures, assisting young adults in managing workplace and relationship challenges, and supporting middle-aged individuals in repairing personal relationships.
 
Mr Jia journey into psychology began with a background in teaching Year 12 maths and physics. He also worked as a high-care assistant in aged care homes. A period of religious vocational pursuit led to his training in Christian theology and the early church's monastic traditions. His persistent exploration of human development and life itself culminated in his registration as a psychologist. Mr Jia is dedicated to helping people navigate life's transitions, discover enduring meaning, and find a hopeful direction.
