Gregory Hodgson is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with more than 29 years of practice in both public and private settings. He has worked extensively with individuals affected by trauma, understanding its impact through physiological, biological, social, and psychological lenses.

Gregory has held senior clinical and leadership roles, including Deputy Director and Clinical Director of the Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service, where he gained specialist expertise in trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and complex comorbid presentations. He has also supervised and mentored psychologists across state and federal agencies, contributing to the growth and development of the profession.

His therapeutic approach is grounded in safety, compassion, and respect. Gregory integrates evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), stress inoculation, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed interventions. He is particularly passionate about supporting individuals facing adversity, equipping them with practical tools and strategies to navigate life’s challenges.

Gregory’s clinical interests include trauma spectrum disorders, depression, and anxiety, with a special focus on working with frontline responders and veterans. He works with adults across the lifespan, offering both in-person and telehealth consultations.

Alongside his clinical practice, Gregory has delivered seminars and training to health professionals, government agencies, and community groups on mental health, trauma, and evidence-based treatment approaches. His work has been recognised with an Achievement Award for Excellence in Quality Teamwork from the Queensland Minister of Health.
