Niamh is a Clinical Psychologist with twenty three years of experience supporting the mental health and wellbeing of people across the lifespan. Niamh has worked in a variety of settings including: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services; Headspace; Catholic Schools; and private practice.
Attachment, developmental and trauma-informed theories guide Niamh’s approach to helping clients make sense of distress. Niamh is a warm and empathic therapist, who draws upon a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy depending on the needs and goals of the client.
Niamh supports children, adolescents and adults, and has a particular interest in:

attachment related concerns;

developmental trauma and its impact across the lifespan;

other traumas and life adjustment issues, e.g. life altering medical conditions;

grief and loss; and

existential concerns e.g. meaning and purpose in life; fear of death, etc.
Niamh lives in the peaceful Adelaide Hills with her family and two lovely, but emotionally-needy Cocker Spaniels.
